Engineering Manager Position
\
The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading a team of engineers on a large-scale building project in Limerick.
\
Key responsibilities include setting out works, reviewing information from drawings and specifications, testing materials, and quality reviews.
\
Experience working with main contractors, subcontractors, or surveying firms is preferred. Excellent communication skills and a good understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations are essential.
\
Responsibilities:
\

1. Setting out works and ensuring foremen and operatives understand the information provided.
\
2. Reviewing information from drawings, specifications, etc., to foremen, operatives, and subcontractors.
\
3. Testing materials as directed by your supervisor/line manager in accordance with relevant specifications.
\
4. Quality reviews on site with regard to rebar and concrete placement.
\
5. Review of technical submissions prior to upload to design team to ensure correct areas of work are addressed.
\
6. Overview of concrete testing and results.
\
7. Directing subcontractors in some instances with regard to works to be carried out.
\
8. Preparation of technical method statements.
\
9. Traffic management on site, coordinating works within a busy location.
\
10. Record all daily activities, relevant information, and occurrences in your site diary.
\
11. Pursue proactively your own development and training.
\
12. Conduct your work in a safe manner – correct and report those who do not.
\
13. Develop and maintain professional working relationships with all personnel.
\
14. Monitor and check setting out instruments and testing equipment.
\
15. Maximise profit through your day-to-day actions: good self-management, accuracy in own work, elimination of re-work.
\
16. Follow directions and attend meetings as required.

Requirements:
\
\
17. A third level qualification in Engineering.
\
18. 5+ years proven experience in setting out or working as a Site engineer in previous roles.
\
19. Experience working with a main contractor, subcontractor, surveying firm or similar preferred.
\
20. Experience managing traffic for a large scale site in a city centre location.
\
21. Good understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental regulations.
\
22. Excellent communication skills.
\
23. Working knowledge in Microsoft Office, Project, PowerPoint etc.

24. Salary €55k - €75k depending on experience.
\
