Leadership Role in Pediatric Emergency Medicine
The Clinical Nurse Manager 2 – Shift Leader plays a pivotal role in coordinating and managing patient flow and resources within the pediatric emergency department.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide professional and clinical leadership to staff, encouraging the development of clinical expertise for the benefit of patients and service users.
* Coordinate and manage patient flow and resources effectively.
Essential Criteria:
* Be registered on the register of nurses kept by the relevant nursing board.
* Have at least 5 years post-registration experience, with 3 years in pediatric emergency nursing.
* Hold a recognized management qualification or commit to undertaking one.
* Successfully complete an emergency medicine course or commit to undertaking it within three years of appointment.
* Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
