Position Summary
This role, part of the Global Operations, EMEA Logistics & Distribution (L&D) function, is dedicated to monitoring and controlling inventory accuracy at 3PL sites, particularly the Teleflex European Distribution Center in Germany (EDC). The main focus is ensuring daily inventory alignment between SAP and the local Warehouse Management System (WMS), including monitoring and managing failures of technical messages (iDocs) exchanged between SAP and WMS.
TRAVEL REQUIRED: 10%
Key responsibilities include:
1. Ensuring daily goods receiving activities are correctly posted by 3PL and in SAP, and communicating with Procurement for non-conformities.
2. Ensuring daily goods issue activities are correctly posted by 3PL and in SAP, and communicating with Customer Service for issues.
3. Ensuring Customer Returns activities are correctly posted by 3PL and in SAP, and communicating with Customer Service for problems.
4. Posting manual inventory adjustments based on 3PL automated emails.
5. Downloading daily inventory comparisons between Teleflex and 3PL, investigating discrepancies, and posting adjustments as needed.
6. Monitoring failed technical interface messages, resolving issues, or escalating when necessary.
7. Managing communication between Quality Assurance and 3PL for quarantined products and reporting inventory status.
8. Preparing inventories for physical disposition, assisting in disposition processes, and posting scrap movements in SAP.
9. Supporting yearly physical inventory and cycle counting activities, ensuring plans are followed, and reporting.
10. Supporting import and customs clearance processes.
11. Assisting internal and external audits by providing required documentation from 3PL and transport companies.
Education / Experience Requirements
* ERP / Planning Systems knowledge, preferably SAP.
* Knowledge of basic iDoc management for data exchange.
* Supply chain or inventory control experience.
* Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
* Effective communication across organizational levels.
* Support and drive for change and process improvements.
* Analytical skills for root cause analysis.
* Good communication skills with cross-functional interaction.
