In Summer ****, we're opening Ómós – a 16-bedroom Guesthouse and 40-seat Restaurant set on 4.2 acres just outside the heritage town of Abbeyleix, County Laois.

As we prepare for our opening in July, we are now recruiting an experienced Accommodation Manager who will report directly to our General Manager and will lead a small housekeeping team.
In joining Ómós, our Accommodation Manager will become an important part of our team; central to providing a special experience for our guests in our 16-bedroom guesthouse and bringing a warm, positive energy to the wider team.
They will be responsible for overseeing all housekeeping operations to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest comfort throughout the guesthouse.
This role combines hands-on cleaning, with team supervision, quality control, and coordination with management to deliver a guest experience that feels welcoming, intentional, and special.
Therefore, the ideal candidate will be experienced and organised with the ability to lead with kindness, uphold standards, and manage inventory.
Accommodation management experience is a must, but experience in a 5-star hotel or luxury guesthouse in Ireland or the UK is a distinct advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain immaculate cleanliness and presentation of all guest rooms, suites, bathrooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces
Ensure rooms are prepared to luxury standards for arrivals, stayovers, and departures
Carry out detailed inspections of rooms and public areas, addressing any issues promptly
Handle special guest requests with discretion and professionalism
Supervise, train, and motivate a small housekeeping team to maintain exceptional service standards
Create daily work schedules and allocate tasks efficiently
Monitor staff performance and provide coaching, feedback, and training where required
Ensure adherence to health, safety, and hygiene regulations
Oversee laundry operations, including washing, ironing, and storage of linens and guest laundry
Ensure linens, towels, and amenities are well stocked, spotless, and presented to luxury standards
Monitor linen usage and report shortages or damage
Quality Control & Guest Experience
Maintain consistency in room setup, amenities, and presentation
Identify maintenance issues and report them promptly to management or maintenance teams
Respond to guest feedback or complaints professionally and efficiently
Ensure privacy, security, and confidentiality of all guests at all times
Stock & Inventory Control
Manage housekeeping supplies and amenities, placing orders as required
Monitor stock levels to avoid shortages while controlling costs
Ensure correct use and safe storage of cleaning products and equipment
The Person
Proven experience (3 – 5 years) as an Accommodation Supervisor or Housekeeping Manager in a luxury hotel, boutique hotel, or high-end guesthouse in Ireland or the UK.
Strong attention to detail with a passion for cleanliness and presentation
Excellent leadership, organisational, and time-management skills
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
Discreet, trustworthy, and has a guest-focused approach
Good communication skills in English (additional languages an advantage)
Working knowledge of health & safety and hygiene standards and experience with working with cleaning chemicals, along with inventory management
Legally eligible to work full time in Ireland.
