As a Senior Systems Analyst for Asset Finance, you will play an active role as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring business needs are clearly understood, well-documented, and translated into technical and functional specifications. A solid understanding of system architecture and application workflows is essential. The role and associated responsibilities may change at a future date, in response to IT demand constraints. Responsibilities: Collaborate with business users to gather and analyse requirements for enhancements, bug fixes, and new features. Translate business requirements into detailed functional and technical specifications. Liaise with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to ensure requirements are accurately implemented. Conduct impact analysis for change requests and identify system interdependencies. Participate in application support, including investigating and resolving issues in production. Assist in system configuration, data validation, and UAT planning. Requirements: The ideal candidate must have a third level IT qualification. Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, IIBA) or Systems Analysis is advantageous. Proven experience as a Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role. Ability to analyse complex problems break them into manageable components and propose effective solutions Strong knowledge of Java, JavaScript, Angular, Node.js (not for development, but to understand application structure and flow). Experience working with relational databases, especially Oracle and/or Ingres able to write and understand SQL queries. Experience in defining and documenting business systems requirements, writing user stories, data mapping artefacts etc Ability to create clear and concise functional and technical specification documents. Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively bridge business and technical stakeholders. Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies. Experience in financial services or Asset Finance domain.
