Work Placement Experience Programme
This Work Placement Experience Programme provides Participants with an opportunity to gain meaningful work experience, learning and training while on the programme. It is for jobseekers who are in receipt of qualifying social welfare payments and those transferring from a social welfare scheme or an ETB Training Allowance. Your eligibility for this programme will be verified by the Department as part of the application process.
Job Description
The Online Shop Assistant role is quite varied, meaning that the participants will get an opportunity to engage with lots of different types of work and develop new skills.
Responsibilities
* Assisting with online shop content management
* Assisting with online shop orders management
* Assisting with product images, web banners creation
* Assisting with social media management – Facebook, Instagram, TikTok
* Assisting with event planning and promotion
* Answering phones, taking messages, responding to emails
Training
Informal training: IT skills – Woocommerce product management, WordPress blog post creation. Social‑media content management, digital content creation (Canva, Photoshop). Customer Service: Handling client interactions and delivering a customer‑first experience. Communication: Writing emails and effective verbal interactions. Teamwork: Collaborating with departments and fostering a supportive culture. Formal training: Health and Safety training, Internal System and POS, WordPress/Woocommerce, Manual Handling.
