Senior Piping Designer

Primary Responsibilities:
Our client is a well-established multinational EPCM consultancy with a global footprint across the Semiconductor, Pharmaceutical, and Biotechnology sectors.
We are currently looking for Senior Piping Designers to support large-scale Biotech / Fill Finish projects.
Site visits will be required in line with project demands.
This role involves full responsibility for the piping design of a defined area within a project or a specific section of a larger development.
Key Responsibilities
Develop equipment layouts for both greenfield and existing facilities.
Carry out field design activities and site surveys to assess existing conditions and identify tie-ins when required.
Provide technical guidance and oversight to junior and intermediate piping designers within a collaborative team environment.
Produce material take-offs to support cost estimates and material procurement during concept and basis of design phases.
Prepare conceptual layouts, feasibility studies, and equipment stack-ups.
Demonstrate strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality when reviewing, checking, and clash-detecting other designers' work.
Participate in model reviews as needed and review/comment on vendor drawings.
Requirements
Third-level Engineering qualification or equivalent trade experience.
Minimum of 7 years' relevant experience.
Strong background in process and mechanical piping systems within Life Sciences, with a understanding and application of technical principles and concepts.
Proficiency in Navisworks and Plant 3D/SP3D or similar 3D design software is essential.
Proactive approach to coordination with other disciplines.
Strong work ethic and effective communication skills, particularly in multi-office project execution environments.
Must hold a valid work permit for Ireland.
