Responsibilities

* Promotion of new business opportunities from within designated geographic areas of responsibility and strategic accounts.
* Servicing of existing business opportunities from within designated geographic areas of responsibility and strategic accounts.
* Assisting in the development of spares and servicing business in the designated geographic areas of responsibility and strategic accounts.
* Collection and interpretation of information from customers to produce a well engineered and accurately costed solution according to client specific needs.
* Presentation of solutions to clients.
* Keeping abreast with company product developments and their areas of opportunity.

Customer Relationship Management:

* Follow up and closure of all business opportunities.
* Production of business opportunity and follow up reports.
* Maintenance of business opportunity recording and filing systems.

Qualifications & Job Requirements

* National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or higher
* 2 – 5 years' experience in a technical sales role
* Computer literacy (Microsoft office suite, CRM)
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Proven external sales track record
* Commercial sales knowledge
* Confident and determined approach
* Self-motivated and driven
* The ability to work in a team
* The capacity to flourish in a competitive environment
