This role isfully remoteand suited to animmediate starterbased in the UK or Ireland.Reporting to theUK Financial Controller, the Financial Accountant will play a key role in UK financial control activities, including month-end close, statutory compliance, accounts payable oversight, and a range of ad-hoc and improvement projects. The role also supports widerGroup Finance objectivesand will evolve in line with business needs.Key ResponsibilitiesMonth-End & Financial ControlComplete month-end accounting for UK Ltd companies and other corporate entitiesPost journals and close ledgers in line with reporting timelinesPrepare balance sheet reconciliations and analyse monthly movementsReview and maintain the fixed asset registerPerform P&L reviews to ensure accurate general ledger coding and reportingCalculate, review, and explain FX movementsManage UK and corporate intercompany reconciliations, including transfer pricing considerationsSupport the UK Financial Controller with month-end analysis and reportingCash, Working Capital & AP OversightGuide the Accounts Assistant to ensure timely processing and payment of invoices and expensesReview supplier reconciliations and resolve complex supplier issuesSupport improvements to accounts payable processesEnsure expense policy training is delivered to new starters and refreshed where requiredSupport billing and accounts receivable processes for UK revenue streamsAssist with cash flow forecasting, analysis, and weekly payment runsStatutory & Regulatory ComplianceSupport statutory compliance across UK entities, including Companies House filingsPrepare and submit quarterly VAT returnsWork with HR to ensure payroll, benefits, and tax compliance (including SAO requirements)Liaise with external advisors (PwC) on annual tax returnsManage UK National Statistics submissionsPrepare year-end audit schedules and act as a key contact for auditorsAssist with drafting UK statutory accounts under IFRSSupport Group audit and reporting requirements, including UK submissions and analysisProjects & Business PartneringSupport tax and restructuring projects impacting the UK and corporate structurePartner with FP&A to improve cost control and performanceContribute to Group accounting policy documentationAssist with improving finance controls, processes, reporting, and SLAsBusiness partner with UK stakeholders to improve efficiency and cost managementCollaborate with international finance teams to improve consistency and matrix workingAbout YouPart-qualified ACCARelevant finance experienceStrong attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlinesAdvanced Excel skillsConfident communicator, comfortable engaging with finance and non-finance stakeholdersSelf-motivated, adaptable, and keen to take ownership in a fast-moving environmentAvailable to start immediately or at short notice
