Senior Quantity Surveyor Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in the Greater Dublin area. You will be responsible for managing projects from mobilisation to final accounts settlement, ensuring effective cost and value management.

About the Role

This is a challenging opportunity for a senior quantity surveyor looking to progress their career. Our team offers a progressive training programme tailored to meet the SCSI/RICS Assessment of Professional Competence requirements. As a senior member of the team, you will have the opportunity to manage trainee or graduate quantity surveyors and participate in departmental training. Additionally, you will engage in receiving training from seniors and giving training to juniors.


* Participate in the procurement of specialist trades for projects and make recommendations to project directors.
* Assist in drafting subcontract agreements.
* Receive, assess, and settle subcontract interim valuations and final accounts.
* Review developing design information and advise the project team on cost implications in good time.
* Identify value engineering opportunities and advise the project team.
* Complete monthly valuations for submission to the Employer's Representative and agree said valuations.
* Participate in internal cost reporting systems, engaging in cost V value reconciliations, turnover reports, prelim cost reports, and project outcome projections.
* Prepare project final account submissions to clients.
* Provide proactive advice to project directors on matters of contract.
* Develop and maintain strong working relationships with the project team.


You will possess:

* A level 8 degree in Quantity Surveying or above.
* 3+ years' experience in a similar role.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills, with emphasis on report accuracy.
* A proven track record in dealing with Subcontractors and Clients.
* Good problem-solving skills.
* A reasonable knowledge of current forms of Agreement for the industry.


The ideal candidate will be:

* Computer literate in Microsoft Office, with some knowledge of Bluebeam, CostX, and Cubit (training can be provided).
* Career driven, aiming to progress to Senior Quantity Surveyor.
* Able to work well under pressure, independently, and as part of a team.
