Tech Lead – Lead Greenfield Groundbreaking Projects

Are you ready to join a dynamic and fast-paced team working on greenfield projects where you will drive technical innovation? We are seeking an experienced and motivated Tech Lead to guide the design, development, and implementation of bespoke tools and systems, critical to our clients’ core business processes.
In this crucial role, you will be hands-on in development within the Microsoft tech stack (spanning on-prem and cloud) and provide technical leadership, mentorship, and direction to engineers. You will be responsible for translating complex requirements into robust, scalable, and cutting-edge IT solutions, ensuring best practices and technical excellence are maintained throughout the development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead Design & Development: Guide the team in designing and developing bespoke tools, systems, and applications supporting key business processes.
* Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to team members, fostering collaboration and continuous learning.
* Application Support & Optimisation: Oversee support of existing applications and lead initiatives for investigation, evaluation, and optimisation.
* Collaboration & Requirements Gathering: Work closely with development teams, architects, and stakeholders to refine requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
* Stakeholder Management & Communication: Act as a technical contact, liaising with management and stakeholders, and keeping them informed on progress, risks, and decisions.
* Best Practices & Code Quality: Drive adherence to best practices in software development, including code reviews, testing, and documentation standards.
* System Improvement & Evaluation: Lead investigation and evaluation of current and new software, making improvement recommendations.
* Performance Monitoring: Monitor resource use and system performance, guiding optimisation efforts.
* Reporting & KPIs: Define, track, and report team progress, KPIs, and objectives; assist the team in goal achievement.
* Project Estimation: Lead project and task estimation, collaborating with technical and business teams.
Requirements:
* Proven experience (minimum 5+ years) in Microsoft .NET Development (C#).
* Experience leading or mentoring software development teams or projects.
* Extensive (5+ years) SQL Server Database Development experience; data warehousing experience is a plus.
* Experience with Message Queue/Microservice Architecture (both on-prem and Cloud) is advantageous.
* Familiarity with Message Queue Technologies (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka).
* Knowledge of Microservice Design, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes).
* Understanding of Web API development (RESTful services) and API gateway technologies.
* Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
* Passion for technical excellence and continuous improvement.
* EU Citizenship or Stamp 4 Visa (Mandatory).
