About the Role
The Assistant Director of Finance oversees the day-to-day operation of the Accounting office. Primary responsibilities include financial analysis and reporting, budgeting/forecasting, internal audits and controls, asset & liability reconciliation and cash control.
Main Responsibilities
* Lead and supervise a finance team of 4 members, providing guidance, coaching, and performance management.
* Oversee income audit function, ensuring accurate recording, verification, and reporting of revenue streams.
* Monitor and enforce compliance with the purchase order system.
* Oversee payroll function, ensuring timely and accurate processing for weekly and monthly cycles.
* Manage labor management system, producing weekly reports comparing actual performance against forecasts.
* Prepare monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary.
* Manage accounts receivable, ensuring timely invoicing and prompt collection.
* Assist in year-end account preparation and annual budget management.
Requirements
* ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification or finalist status.
* Team leading/supervisory experience desirable.
* Highly proficient in Excel and financial systems.
