Accounting Professional
We are seeking an experienced accounting professional to join our team as a Management Accountant. This role will be responsible for providing financial support and guidance to our business leaders.
About the Role
The Management Accountant position is a full-time, on-site role that involves preparing monthly management accounts, financial planning and analysis, cost control and optimization, internal controls and risk management, audit and tax compliance, and process improvements.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Month End Accounting: Support and collaborate with bookkeepers to improve finance processes and reporting accuracy. Prepare monthly retail management accounts and provide senior leadership with timely financial insights.
* Financial Planning and Analysis: Work closely with business leaders to support their finance needs and budget process. Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial models to guide decision making.
* Cost Control and Optimization: Monitor and control costs to ensure efficiency across operations. Evaluate and manage financial risks and recommend cost-saving measures.
* Internal Controls, Risk Management, and Compliance: Assist in implementing internal control systems and ensure compliance with tax regulations and statutory requirements.
* Audit, Tax, and Regulatory Filings: Support tax filings, including VAT, corporation tax, and other statutory filings as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have a qualified (or part-qualified) accountant certification, such as ACCA, CIMA, or ACA, and relevant work experience in a similar field. You should also possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
