Social Care Assistant

Are you a compassionate professional with experience in supporting vulnerable adults? We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Social Care Assistants for residential services.

As a Social Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting adults with intellectual disabilities in a community-based setting. Your responsibilities will include assisting with independent living skills and integration into the community.

Requirements:

* FETAC level 5 in Healthcare or similar qualification is required.
* A minimum of 1 year's experience working with vulnerable adults or adults with intellectual disabilities is essential.
* Working knowledge of HIQA regulations and experience adhering to National Standard policies is necessary.
* Experience and understanding of person-centred care and planning is also required.
* An ability to follow plans and methods to meet the ongoing needs of the individuals supported is crucial.
* Effective interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills are essential.
* Proficient IT skills relevant to the role, including Microsoft Office Excel, Word, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams, are required.
* A full driver's license and availability of own car are an essential requirement.

Job Description:

As a Social Care Assistant, your primary responsibility will be to provide support to adults with intellectual disabilities in a community-based setting. This will involve assisting with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household management.

Additionally, you will be responsible for promoting independence and integration into the community, which may involve accompanying individuals on outings, attending community events, and engaging in social activities.
