Senior Recruitment Consultant - Financial Services and Transactional Finance at Morgan McKinley

Our client, a global leader in manufacturing solutions, is seeking a talented Accounts Assistant for an initial temporary role with strong potential for permanent employment. In this varied and crucial role, you will provide comprehensive support to the finance and administrative functions of the organisation. You will be involved in a range of tasks, from ensuring the accuracy of financial records to providing essential administrative assistance across different departments. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the smooth operation of a successful international company.

Key Responsibilities:

* Reconcile bank statements to ensure accurate accounting records.
* Maintain and update financial spreadsheets and databases with precision.
* Assist in the preparation of financial reports for management review.
* Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closings.
* Provide assistance with financial audits and compliance-related tasks.
* Process and record company expenses and revenue returns accurately.
* Efficiently process and review vendor invoices for accuracy and adherence to company policies.
* Ensure timely payments to vendors, suppliers, and contractors.
* Maintain and update comprehensive vendor records.
* Reconcile and resolve any discrepancies within accounts payable.
* Collaborate closely with Procurement to resolve queries in a timely manner.
* Manage customer invoices effectively and ensure timely collections of payments.
* Track overdue accounts diligently and follow up with customers as necessary.
* Process customer payments accurately and update accounts accordingly.
* Maintain detailed customer records and provide support with credit management processes.
* Provide general office and administrative support to various departments within the organisation.
* Manage office supplies and inventory levels, ensuring adequate stock is always maintained.
* Coordinate meetings, schedules, and appointments for management effectively.
* Handle correspondence professionally, including emails and phone calls.
* Assist in the preparation and accurate filing of reports, documents, and other necessary records.
* Maintain organised filing systems for both financial and administrative records.
* Assist in the preparation of presentations and other materials as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

* A qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
* Previous experience within the manufacturing or industrial financial sector would be beneficial but not essential.
* Experience in SAP B1 roll-out projects would be advantageous.
* Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in accounting, administrative support, or a related field.
* Solid understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting principles. Knowledge of payroll processing is advantageous.
* Proficiency in accounting software; familiarity with SAP B1 is highly desirable.
* Strong proficiency in Excel, including the ability to work effectively with formulas and data analysis.
* Excellent organisational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritise effectively.
* High level of attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and efficiency.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally at all levels.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial data with discretion.
* Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Understanding of business management processes and financial reporting principles.
