Project Engineer Biomechanics Role Description

At a leading medical technology company, our Project Engineers in Biomechanics play a pivotal role in ensuring product safety and regulatory compliance.


The successful candidate will be part of a cross-functional product development team responsible for conducting and documenting device and instrument testing related to new product development of orthopedic implants. This includes applying knowledge of biomechanics and engineering principles to ensure product safety as well as compliance with medical device regulations.

* Conduct verification and validation testing of medical devices.
* Develop or adapt test methods to fit product testing needs and create standard operating procedures.
* Support problem solving, root cause analysis, identify potential solutions, and evaluate them against requirements.
* Under supervision, conduct research and studies to support product design.
• Develop test plans protocols manage testing campaigns Manage external projects Manage Med Device Compliance understand fundamental industry standards learn relevant R&D
biomechnaics procedures gain an understanding risk management Quality Management System become familiar with standardized test methods per ASTM/ISO.
