About the Role:
* Cultivate relationships with merchant sales, building contractors, builders, sub-contractors, and wholesalers to enhance sales, profits, and market standing.
* Proactively identify and pursue new ventures, respond to customer inquiries, and seize market prospects.
* Schedule regular on-site visits to construction sites and merchant establishments to strengthen industry ties.
* Evaluate orders based on specifications, referencing price lists and product literature.
* Meet specific sales goals and key performance indicators to ensure both individual and team accomplishments.
* Stay current with industry dynamics and product knowledge through publications, networks, professional associations, and pertinent training.
Requirements:
* Minimum 3 years of relevant sales experience, preferably within the construction or engineering sectors.
* Proficiency in acquiring product knowledge.
* Excellent communication abilities, capable of engaging and educating clients while effectively promoting product upgrades.
* Valid driver's license essential for regular travel within the Munster and Connaught regions.
