Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate with internal departments (planning, design, commercial, construction and HSQE) to ensure accurate and efficient project delivery.
* Liaise with external stakeholders including local authorities, utility providers and statutory bodies to secure approvals and maintain compliance.
* Prepare and review method statements, risk assessments, traffic management plans and detailed construction programmes.
* Interpret drawings, specifications and contract documents to ensure full understanding of project scope, timelines and cost implications.
* Carry out setting out, surveying and levelling works in accordance with design requirements.
* Manage daily site activities, supervising subcontractors and direct labour to ensure works are delivered safely, on time and to specification.
* Monitor progress against programme targets and report on delays, risks and resource requirements.
* Maintain accurate site records including as-built drawings, site diaries, labour/plant returns and technical reports.
* Support cost control through material requisitions, procurement coordination and budget awareness.
* Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, environmental and quality standards, proactively identifying and addressing potential risks.
* Oversee quality assurance processes, ensuring materials and workmanship meet contractual and regulatory requirements.
* Assist with post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and support continuous improvement.
Requirements
* Degree (or Master's) in Engineering
* 2–5 years' experience in a setting out role
* Membership of a relevant professional body
* Experience on similar projects with a strong commitment to safety and environmental best practice
* Full Drivers License
