Job description:
Ashdown Park Hotel is currently recruiting for a full time or part time Steakhouse at Rowan team lead.
The Role
* Customer service: Ensure a positive guest experience by interacting with customers, resolving complaints and issues, and handling questions.
* Quality and standards: Uphold food quality, hygiene, and safety standards, including sanitation and food handling procedures.
* Staff and operations co-ordination: Supervise staff during shifts, coordinate work and delegate tasks, assist with rostering, and handle opening/closing duties.
* Training and development: Train new and existing employees on food preparation, service standards, safety procedures, and the POS system. Motivate the team and provide feedback.
* Inventory and stock: Monitor stock levels, check deliveries, and assist with ordering to minimize waste and control costs.
* Compliance: Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and company policies.
* Work schedule: The candidate must be available to work each weekend and be available to work evening shifts and morning shifts.
Essential skills and qualifications
* Leadership and motivation: Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.
* Communication: Strong verbal and written English communication skills to interact effectively with staff and customers.
* Problem-solving: Ability to handle and resolve customer issues and internal conflicts.
* Operational knowledge: Experience with cash handling, POS systems, and basic food hygiene is often required.
* Teamwork: A hands-on mentality and the ability to work collaboratively with others.
