Job Description Program BackgroundAI is driving a fundamental shift in how software solutions are delivered, across all aspects of the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) Leveraging new tools and ways of working provides an opportunity to significantly improve productivity, quality, and speed of software delivery.The RoleThe Change & Communications Lead plays a critical role in delivery of the program by ensuring successful adoption of the program's change initiatives. This role partners withsenior leaders, project teams, and key stakeholders to deliver clear communication, drive engagement, and support software engineers through transitions. The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with strong storytelling, stakeholder management, and a deep understanding of how people experience change.Key ResponsibilitiesA Change Management Approach has been developed by the Program Lead. However,there is an opportunity to review this and enhance appropriately. The key is to maximiseadoption and minimise resistance to the program change.Conduct change impact assessments to understand effects on people, processes, andsystems Identify change risks and develop mitigation strategiesSupport leaders and managers in fulfilling their change leadership responsibilitiesMonitor readiness, adoption, and sentiment through surveys, feedback, and dataCoordinate with learning teams to ensure training needs are identified and addressed.Time will be allocated across three program workstreams: program change andcommunications, training and skills development and communication to supportadoption of new tooling solutions.Stake Holder ManagementMap stakeholders and assess their influence, interests, and potential concernsBuild strong relationships with the program leadership, workstream leads and thebusiness units.Facilitate workshops, briefings, and engagement sessionsCoach leaders on messaging, communication style, and engagement approachesCommunication & Strategy communicationDevelop and execute a communications strategy and plan aligned to the changeroadmapCreate clear, compelling messaging tailored to different audiencesProduce communications across multiple channels (email, intranet, town halls, videos,FAQs, toolkits)Manage communication timelines and ensure alignment with programme milestonesMeasure communication effectiveness and adjust plans based on insightsEngineer Experience & EngagementEnsure engineers feel informed, supported, and involved throughout the change journeyDesign engagement campaigns that build awareness, understanding, and excitementTranslate complex information into accessible, user-friendly contentSupport culture, behaviour, and mindset change initiativesCollaboration & GovernanceWork closely with workstream leads, HR, training teams, and business leadsParticipate in programme governance forums and provide updates on change andcommunications activityEnsure all materials and messaging align with organisational standards and tone ofvoiceMaintain documentation, plans, and reporting dashboardsSkills & ExperienceProven experience in change management, communications, or organizationaldevelopmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to simplify complex information and craft clear, engaging messagesExcellent stakeholder management and influencing skillsStrong planning, organisation, and project management capabilitiesHigh emotional intelligence and the ability to navigate ambiguityExperience working in fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environmentsExperience in large-scale technology transformation programmesBackground in technology, HR, communications, or business change
