M&E Construction Senior Project Manager
Responsibilities
The Construction Manager (CM) shall be responsible for the planning and execution of the construction works, managing field construction supervisors and plant and equipment supervisors, planning and managing temporary works, and ensuring the construction works are executed in accordance with the contract specifications.
Lead and manage a team of project engineers for the construction scope of works.
Lead and manage a team of sub‑contractors for the construction activities.
Manage the interfacing and coordination scope of works with other system wide contracts and civil contractors.
Manage and take the lead to initiate meetings with sub‑contractors and other parties.
Prefer working experience in a multi‑national company.
Capability to build the detailed execution plan, method statement.
Capability to execute engineering calculations, such as fan pressure drop, hydraulic calculation, etc.
Deep knowledge of each system: ACMV, tunnel ventilation, fire fighting, BMS/SCADA, plumbing and sanitary systems.
Deep knowledge of installation details of every system.
Deep knowledge of work breakdown structure & BOQ.
Capability to manage changes/variations and their costs.
Capability for mobilisation.
Confer with engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.
Research and analyze client designs, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate feasibility, cost and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.
Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.
Assist drafters in developing the structural design of products, using drafting tools or computer‑assisted design/drafting equipment and software.
Provide feedback to design engineers on customer problems and needs.
Oversee installation, operation, maintenance and repair to ensure that machines and equipment are installed and functioning according to specifications.
Develop and test models of alternate designs and processing methods to assess feasibility, operating condition effects, possible new applications and necessity of modification.
Develop, coordinate and monitor all aspects of production, including selection of manufacturing methods, fabrication and operation of product designs.
Estimate costs and submit bids for engineering, construction or extraction projects, and prepare contract documents.
Perform personnel functions, such as supervision of production workers, technicians, technologists and other engineers, and design of evaluation programmes.
Establish and coordinate the maintenance and safety procedures, service schedule, and supply of materials required to maintain machines and equipment in the prescribed condition.

Monitor processes, materials or surroundings – reviewing information from materials, events or the environment to detect or assess problems.

Time management – managing one’s own time and the time of others.
BCA – well experienced in BCA Portal.
Accounting – general profit & loss accounting, margin calculations.
Procurement – well experienced in procurement, e.g. getting quotes from vendor for products.
Educational Qualifications and Experience & Skills
Diploma in Civil Engineering.
More than 15 years’ experience in the construction industry.
Highly skilled in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Singapore driving licence required.
Construction manager experience in M&E for infrastructure projects.
Work Timing & Locations
Work schedule will be overnight & day shift (maximum night shift).
Shifts will be scheduled at various locations in Singapore at night time.
Must be able to drive at night to various locations in Singapore.
