This is a senior-level contract role based in Dublin City Centre, covering maternity leave for a period of 6 to 12 months, with a focus on conducting and overseeing quality reviews of regulatory compliance processes. This is a hybrid role, 3 days per week onsite.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the organisation maintains robust compliance with evolving financial regulations. This position requires a hands-on leader with strong legal, compliance, or audit experience, and the ability to manage high-impact reviews in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
Responsibilities
* Lead and execute quality reviews across the Regulatory Requirements & Obligations lifecycle, with a focus on regulatory change management and inventory accuracy.
* Perform independent testing to ensure accurate implementation of regulatory obligations and controls.
* Deliver clear and concise findings to stakeholders, including senior members of the RRO team.
* Provide oversight and guidance to junior team members, maintaining consistency and quality in review standards.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as Internal Audit, Consent Order teams, and other compliance functions.
* Support ad hoc regulatory initiatives and contribute to process improvement efforts.
* Promote a culture of credible challenge and continuous improvement across the team.
Candidate Profile / Qualifications
* Strong background in Legal, Compliance, Risk, or Internal Audit within Financial Services.
* Proven experience leading or supporting compliance reviews, audits, or quality assurance initiatives.
* Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills; capable of interpreting complex regulatory requirements.
* Confident communicator with strong presentation and stakeholder engagement abilities.
* Effective leader and team collaborator with strong project management skills.
* Resilient and adaptable, with the ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree or higher in Law, Business, Finance, or a related discipline.
* 5+ years of relevant experience in compliance, regulatory testing, or audit roles.
* Familiarity with global financial regulatory frameworks is advantageous.
