Senior Project Manager – API Technology Transfer & External Manufacturing
Summary
We’re partnering with a global pharmaceutical organisation seeking an experienced professional to support API technology transfer and external manufacturing programmes. This role will act as the key link between internal manufacturing teams and Contract Manufacturing Organisations (CMOs), ensuring successful process transfer, stakeholder alignment and ongoing supply continuity.
Key Responsibilities
Lead API technology transfer activities between internal manufacturing sites and external CMO partners.
Act as the primary technical and project liaison across Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Regulatory and Engineering teams.
Coordinate project plans, timelines, risks and deliverables associated with external manufacturing programmes.
Support process knowledge transfer, manufacturing readiness and operational alignment across multiple sites.
Drive issue resolution and stakeholder engagement to ensure successful transfer and commercial supply performance.
Requirements
Degree qualified in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Pharmaceutical Engineering or a related discipline.
Significant experience within API manufacturing environments, ideally supporting commercial operations.
Proven experience leading or supporting technology transfer activities and working with external CMOs.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence across multiple functions and organisations.
