About the Role
We are seeking three SHESQ Advisors to join our team on various projects in the Leinster and Dublin areas.
The SHESQ Advisor will work closely with the Project Team to ensure the safe execution of works and embed our 'Never Harm' culture on site.
Duties:
* Assist in maintaining the Safety Management System, Environmental Management System and Quality Management Systems to ensure continued compliance with ISO 45001, ISO14001 and ISO 9001.
* Carry out inductions for personnel on site.
* Produce monthly statistics and champion our Culture Development Programme (behaviour-based safety programme).
* Conduct site audits and inspections, documenting findings and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and industry guidance.
* Keep up to date with changes in safety, health and environmental legislation and construction industry guidance.
* E nsure all personnel on site have the necessary training records.
* Investigate, log and monitor incidents and non-conformances, completing all necessary report forms.
* Identify significant safety impacts for work areas and help set up appropriate controls.
* Maintain all safety and environmental records, making them readily available when required.
* Prepare and present toolbox talks as needed, and contribute to monthly safety meetings.
* Review subcontractor documentation.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
To be successful in this role, you should have:
* A relevant 3rd level qualification in health and safety.
* A minimum of 3 years' experience working on civil engineering or construction sites.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with one or more teams.
* Good written and spoken communication abilities.
* Strong IT skills, with attention to detail.
* A flexible and proactive approach to work.
* Demonstrated leadership skills.
* Experience implementing and rolling out behaviour-based programmes.
* Familiarity with gas and electricity framework contracts and civils projects, particularly in areas such as excavations, crane lifting, temporary works, work at height, confined spaces and traffic management.
