We are a CPD Accredited Employer with pathways to chartership and targeted training for employees.The RoleSenior Design Engineer – REF: 2517bWe are looking to recruit a Senior Design Engineer to join our Energy, Utilities and Renewables design team. The successful candidate will join an established team with senior support and will have the opportunity, as their career progresses, to lead high value and high complexity projects. The Senior Design Engineer will have a client facing role.An example of some of the responsibilities for the role as the business needs require are as follows:Design & project management from conceptual phase through to project completion in the Energy and Utilities sectors in areas such as renewables (biogas, biomass, CHP, solar, hydro, industrial utilities), pipelines and installations (gas, oil, water, or wastewater).Development of preliminary and detailed design calculations.Development of design drawings and specifications.Development of conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design reports.Balance of plant design.Design and implementation of energy saving projects.Industrial utilities design, HVAC, steam, refrigeration & compressed air systems.Attend and participate in HAZID/ HAZOP and LOPA studiesCarry out PSDP roleThe Senior Design Engineer will have the opportunity to progress their career within Fingleton White to be involved in the various business sectors to provide experience across a wide range of projects.The location for this role will be in our Cork office, however we will also consider applications for our Galway office.RequirementsThe Candidate…The ideal candidate will have:Mechanical engineering degree (Honors bachelor’s degree or higher), or a similar discipline relevant to the specification above.7+ years post-graduate and relevant design experience.
