Job Specification and Terms and Conditions OVERVIEW Campaign Reference - RQ1045 Job Title & Grade - Senior Occupational Therapist - Rehabilitation Tenure - The current vacancy available is a full time position on a temporary specified purpose basis. Hours of Work - 35 Hours - the allocation of these hours will be at the discretion of the Department Head and in accordance with needs of service Department - Occupational Health Location of Post - Peamount Healthcare, Newcastle, Co. Dublin Working Model - Fully Onsite Remuneration - *Current salary scale with effect from 1st August 2025: €63,912 (point 1) to €75,254 (point 9) Annual Leave - As per Health Service Executive (HSE) Closing Date - Wednesday January 21st 2026 Proposed Interview Date - Wednesday January 28th (provisional date) Take Up Appointment - Successful applicant(s) must be available to take up the role within a reasonable timeframe Reporting Relationship - Occupational Therapist Manager WHO ARE WE Peamount Healthcare is an independent voluntary organisation that operates in partnership with the HSE Health Region, Dublin and Midlands to provide a range of health and social care services. Peamount Healthcare is a registered charity and is directly funded by the HSE under Section 38 of the Health Act 2004. The hospital provides consultant led, multidisciplinary, specialist rehabilitation services to patients at the right time and in the right place, which improve patient outcomes. Peamount Healthcare provides specialist rehabilitation in Neurology, Age-Related, Respiratory and Rheumatology. The services provided also include continuing care services for the older person, adults with neurological disabilities and individuals with intellectual disabilities. The Senior Occupational Therapist will be responsible for the provision and delivery of a high-quality Occupational Therapy service in the designated clinical area(s) and will carry out clinical, educational and administrative duties as required. POINT ON SCALE New appointees coming from the private sector will be placed on the minimum point of the scale. Clinical and Therapy Grades: Incremental credit may be applied for recognised relevant service in Ireland and abroad (Department of Health Circular 2/2011) in the Civil Service, local authorities, public service, health service and other public service bodies and statutory agencies.
