Job Title: Transport Planner Salary: From €31,000 per annum (DOE) Location: Rathcoole, Dublin 24 Working Hours: 10:*******:00, Monday to Friday (flexibility required to cover other shifts as necessary) Labour Force are recruiting for a Transport Planner for full time, permanent position to join dynamic team and play a key role in managing the day-to-day activities of a fast-paced and complex transport/distribution operation.

Key Responsibilities: Route Planning: Develop and plan driver routes to ensure full compliance with transport regulations, including Tachographs, drivers' hours, and SOPs using the company's IT systems.
Delivery Schedule Development: Continuously improve the transport delivery schedule to enhance customer service and support internal stakeholders.
Compliance Management: Ensure fleet operations and drivers adhere to all legislative guidelines.
Any breaches must be promptly reported and rectified.
Liaison with Drivers and 3rd Party Carriers: Handle transport-related queries and maintain strong communication with drivers and third-party carriers.
Key Stakeholder Communication: Act as a primary point of contact for key stakeholders, ensuring all transport operations run smoothly.
Timely Dispatch: Ensure timely dispatch of loads to meet operational deadlines.
Ownership & Accountability: Take full ownership of your areas of responsibility and contribute to achieving departmental and company KPIs.
Driver Performance Monitoring: Utilize IT systems to review and monitor driver performance, ensuring adherence to standards.
Tachograph and Driver Hours Monitoring: Monitor and report on Tachograph records and driver working hours to ensure compliance.
Performance Tools: Use tools like Cubo and Orbcomm to monitor and report on driver performance.
Fleet Maintenance Coordination: Work closely with the Maintenance Manager to assist in scheduling fleet maintenance and ensuring operational readiness.
Operational Support: Provide input and support to the Operations Manager for periodic reporting and continuous improvement.
Requirements: Previous experience in transport planning or a similar role within the transport/distribution industry.
Strong knowledge of transport regulations (Tachographs, drivers' hours, etc.).
Proficiency in IT systems related to transport planning and route optimization.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively with various internal and external stakeholders.
A proactive attitude with the ability to take ownership and drive improvements.
