Cobh Ramblers FC is seeking a dedicated
Club Doctor
to join our medical team.
The successful candidate will provide expert medical support to our players, ensuring their health, safety, and well-being at training sessions, matches, and club events.
This is a vital role in supporting player performance, injury prevention, and recovery.
Key Responsibilities
Provide immediate and ongoing medical care to players during training sessions, matches, and club events.
Assess, diagnose, and manage injuries and medical conditions in line with best practice.
Work closely with physiotherapists, fitness coaches, and other medical staff to develop individualized care and rehabilitation plans.
Conduct pre-season medical screenings and player health assessments.
Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with GDPR and club policies.
Advise coaching and management staff on player fitness, health risks, and return-to-play protocols.
Stay updated with the latest developments in sports medicine and player care.
Requirements
Fully qualified medical doctor registered with the Irish Medical Council.
Experience in sports medicine, football, or related fields preferred.
Strong understanding of injury prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation protocols.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
