Senior Digital Design Engineer
The Precision Signal Chain Group (PSC) is a key technology franchise within ADI, developing industry‑leading precision front‑end solutions for Instrumentation, Industrial, Automotive, Healthcare, Communications, and Consumer applications.
PSC seeks a senior digital design engineer to join our mixed‑signal design team in developing state‑of‑the‑art precision converter products with significant digital content.
The role spans the entire product development cycle from concept through design, verification, implementation, and release to customers, with opportunities to collaborate within the wider ADI technical community.
This position is based in Cork or Limerick, Ireland.
Responsibilities
Understand design/system requirements and convert them to a functional digital design
Act as the design hub to interact with stakeholders – test, evaluation, application, physical implementation, verification
Perform RTL design using System Verilog
Conduct formal and CDC analysis
Define synthesis timing constraints and perform static timing analysis
Guide physical design and DFT efforts for your designs
Perform power consumption and power integrity analysis
Create effective and efficient design documentation and design review presentations
Participate in weekly project meetings and design collaboration meetings
Develop test benches and carry out functional verification
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
5+ years of relevant experience in digital design engineering
Strong interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills
Master fundamental concepts of digital logic design
Knowledge of Verilog; block‑level verification and gate‑level simulation
FPGA prototyping beneficial
Knowledge of So C solutions with processors (ARM preferred); processor architectures and bus fabric protocols (AHB, AXI, …)
Digital design for data filter/processing; MATLAB experience beneficial
Digital interfaces (SPI/I2 C/SPMI/I3 C/UART/…); UVM knowledge beneficial
Proven analytical and problem‑solving skills
