The Academic Systems team is responsible for timetabling, curriculum management, student information system, Moodle administration and Ouriginal.
Role and Responsibilities:
The Academic Systems Administrator will provide assistance for the Academic Systems team within the Academic Operations Department:
* Class scheduling/timetabling for all departments. DBS operates a centralised timetabling system.
* Ensure timely availability of timetables for review by School
* Ensure accuracy of timetable data which integrates with our attendance system and Moodle integration
* Participate in timetabling meetings with stakeholders during timetabling preparation period
* Ensure correct timetables are published online and to students’ personal calendars
* Liaise with Programme Coordinators with regards their respective programmes to ensure the students are correctly grouped/registered.
Timetabling Tasks:
* Manage timetabling tasks and functions liaising with Head of Academic Operations on daily basis.
* Ensuring the daily timetabling and room booking service is accurate
* Highlighting any timetabling issues with Head of Academic Operations and troubleshooting any issues and resolution of same
* Manage daily change requests for timetabling and communicate these changes in a timely manner to Programme Coordinators/Communications Coordinator
* Management of mailboxes and communications with faculty management around timetabling
* Updates to Moodle and other academic systems where required

The successful candidate will meet the following essential requirements:

* Athirdlevelqualification, ideally qualified to honours degree level
* Minimum 1 years’ experience in a similar role
* Experienced with MS Office and Google Docs/Sheets
* Experience of working with information management systems or databases
* Demonstrableadministrativeandorganisationalskillswiththeabilitytoprioritisetheirworkandtomeet strictdeadlines
* Excellentcommunicationskillsbothverbalandwritten
* Abilitytoworkontheirownandalsowithinateam
* Self-motivated with a proven ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment
* Ability to work flexibly in accordance with the requirements of the role
Desirable:
* Knowledge and experience of working with academic validation requirements
* Proventrackrecordofworkingeffectivelywithinaregulatoryframework
* Experience mapping processes and user acceptance testing on information systems
