Resident Engineer
We are supporting an international consultancy seeking a skilled Resident Engineer to join their team in Cork. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in overseeing civil engineering projects, ensuring they meet all necessary regulations and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
* Project Management: Manage and oversee civil engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, within scope, and within budget.
* Technical Expertise: Review and interpret project plans and specifications, identifying potential issues and developing solutions.
* Site Coordination: Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution, conducting regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
* Troubleshooting: Resolve technical issues that arise during construction, working closely with the design team to address any design changes or issues.
* Communication: Prepare regular progress reports and communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders, ensuring seamless collaboration and resolution of any concerns.
Requirements:
* Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field, preferably with a Professional Engineering (PE) license.
* Experience: Proven experience as a Resident Engineer or similar role in the civil engineering industry, with a strong understanding of construction procedures, equipment, and safety guidelines.
* Skills: Strong project management and leadership skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, ability to problem-solve and make sound decisions under pressure, familiarity with relevant software and tools.
