MICE Sales Manager
to join our Sales team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive hotel sales professional to take ownership of the Domestic MICE market, building relationships with corporates, associations, charities and Irish-based conference agents and venue finders. You'll represent one of Dublin's most iconic luxury hotels, while gaining experience across the largest hotel brand in the world.
Key Responsibilities:
* Proactively manage and grow a portfolio of Irish-based MICE accounts, including corporates, charities, associations, institutions, and preferred partner conference agents and venue finders.
* Identify and convert new business opportunities within the domestic MICE market through strategic sales planning, appointments, sales calls, site inspections, and participation in trade shows, fam trips, and networking events.
* Deliver the annual MICE sales plan and achieve sales targets by maximising revenue from existing and new accounts through effective account management and cross-selling within the MHL Hotel Collection.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date activity in Salesforce, leveraging Marriott tools and systems such as MGS to support targeting, reporting, and strategic decisions.
* Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless event planning and execution, while regularly providing market insights and updates to the Director of Sales & Marketing and General Manager.
What Will You Bring to the Table?
* Minimum of 2 years' proactive Hotel Sales experience in a target-driven sales environment
* Hotel proactive MICE sales experience is preferred
* Bachelor's degree with strong business acumen performance is preferred
* Strong administrative skills and an ability to meet deadlines
* Knowledge of Irish and Dublin corporate market is an advantage
* Knowledge of domestic corporates, Conference agents / DMC's/PCO's is an advantage
* Sales focused, target and results driven, with a Track record in sales target success and over-achievement essential
* Must be a self-starter and strong closer, with multi-tasking ability
* Excellent levels of personal motivation and organisation
* Effective communicator to clients and colleagues, individually and in groups; with the capacity to provide clear written reports.
* A commercial awareness and good understanding of yield management
* Strong administrative skills and an ability to meet deadlines
* Confident, ambitious and pro-active, seeks out challenges and is driven by success
* Must have the capacity to respond to a fast-paced environment, with a multi-tasking ability in a changing environment
