Speech and Language Therapist Opportunity
This is an opportunity for a highly skilled Senior Speech and Language Therapist to lead a multidisciplinary team in an acute hospital.
The successful candidate will work closely with the team, conducting comprehensive assessments, diagnosing, and treating communication and swallowing disorders for adult inpatients.
* Conduct thorough assessments and provide therapy for patients with communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing difficulties.
* Manage a senior caseload including stroke, neurological conditions, progressive disease, and acutely ill elderly patients
* Deliver specialist dysphagia interventions using evidence-based best practice.
* Collaborate with the MDT (medical, nursing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy) to ensure holistic patient care.
* Provide training and education for hospital staff, patients, and families.
* Maintain accurate and timely clinical records; contribute to audits, research, and service improvement projects.
* Participate in supervision and ongoing professional development.
