The Clybaun Hotel Galway is currently seeking a dynamic and motivated Sales & Events Manager (Permanent, Full-time) to join our team. This exciting role combines sales, event management, digital marketing, and client relationship management to help drive business growth while delivering exceptional guest experiences.If you have a passion for hospitality, strong organisational skills, and a proven ability to manage events and generate business, we would love to hear from you.Job OverviewThe Sales & Events Manager role involves driving profitability, ensuring guest satisfaction, and delivering excellent service. The ideal candidate will possess a strong sales focus, a proven track record in event management, and the ability to cultivate lasting client relationships. They will also be responsible for interacting with the public through the various social media platforms, ensuring that all replies are in line with brand and content strategies. In addition, all online content, brand image and awareness is to be continuously created, reviewed and maintained.Must have full working rights in Ireland.Key ResponsibilitiesOperations ManagementManage all sales and event planning activities, ensuring a seamless process from enquiry to execution.Coordinate with departments to uphold high quality service standards during event execution.Manage customer satisfaction post-event by handling feedback and resolving any issues promptly and effectively.Perform day to day sales activity including lead generation, sales calls, contracting & rate negotiation and attendance at relevant events.Client RelationsBuild and maintain strong client relationships to ensure high lead-to-booking conversion rates.Develop creative strategies to drive business and upsell services to existing clients.Exhibit a positive, professional demeanor in client interactions across all platforms.Brand Standards & ComplianceEnsure event execution aligns with the hotel's brand standards.Stay well‑versed in event technology, contract management, and relevant legal requirements to ensure compliance.Social Media & MarketingSupport the overall sales and marketing effort for the hotel, by developing innovative and relevant content for the customer across all of the online touchpoints: campaigns, SM, CRM, services, online booking engines.Assist with E‑Commerce related digital projects.Be responsible for the hotel’s own website content, ensuring content is relevant and up to date with the Hotel Sales strategy. Raise relevant tickets with management company to carry our works.Manage brand content on the online distribution platforms – Online Travel Agencies.Assist with driving consumer CRM strategy and execution of campaign activities working closely with the hotel teams and Tifco management teams. Be main point of contact for CRM system (revinate), ensure all ezine content is relevant. In addition, ensure all automated campaigns are up to date and in line with upsell strategy.Assist Senior Management Team with the management of the Customer review websites (Tripadvisor) to ensure guest feedback is being monitored, responded to and shared with the Hotels and other 3rd parties.Work with General Manager/Commercial Director/Senior Management to plan and develop marketing and online campaigns.Develop Social Media and Marketing calendar, ensure all content is loaded in line with set out times, dates etc.Posting content across social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn).Engaging with customers on different channels, extranets (Expedia).Being on top of the latest social media trends.Keep track of all social media data and reporting on it at relevant times.RM: be main point of contact for CRM system (revinate) ensure all ezine content irrelevant.
