Position Overview
A highly motivated and skilled individual is sought to join the team as a Facilities Manager. This hands‑on role demands a proactive and resourceful professional capable of managing all aspects of building maintenance and ensuring the highest standards of health and safety. The ideal candidate will excel in planning and managing projects, ensuring seamless operations across multiple properties.
Maintenance Management
* Oversee and manage maintenance operations for co‑living properties.
* Develop and implement a preventative maintenance schedule for all building systems and equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire safety systems.
* Act as the primary contact for all maintenance‑related issues from residents and staff.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot issues efficiently to minimise disruption.
* Manage and prioritise daily maintenance requests and repairs.
* Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and expenditures.
Contractor and Supplier Management
* Source, vet, and manage external contractors for specialised repairs and maintenance projects.
* Negotiate contracts and ensure work is completed to a high standard, on time, and within budget.
* Liaise with suppliers to ensure adequate stock of tools, materials, and spare parts.
Health and Safety
* Act as the designated Health and Safety Officer for the properties.
* Develop, implement, and monitor a robust health and safety policy in compliance with Irish legislation.
* Conduct regular health and safety risk assessments and implement control measures.
* Ensure all fire safety systems are regularly inspected and maintained.
* Lead and coordinate fire drills and other emergency preparedness procedures.
* Maintain comprehensive health and safety records and documentation.
Qualifications and Skills
* Proven experience in a similar maintenance/facilities management role, preferably within a residential, hospitality, or multi‑unit property environment.
* Demonstrable knowledge of Irish health and safety legislation and best practices.
* Excellent problem‑solving and diagnostic abilities.
* Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in using maintenance management software is a plus.
* Full, clean Irish driving licence.
