Planner / Scheduler - Pharmaceuticals - 12-Month Contract
Ireland is currently a hub for the Life Sciences Sector, with global companies establishing and expanding manufacturing facilities across the country. An exciting opportunity has arisen to work through Quanta on the client’s side for a global pharmaceutical organization on a major expansion project in the picturesque Munster region of Ireland.
The manufacturing site is located just 20 minutes from the nearest international airport, making it accessible for those willing to commute to Ireland for the contract. The role requires on-site presence five days a week, Monday to Friday, for 45 hours.
Role Summary:
* Develop and implement planning, reporting, and analytical tools for the Tech Ops organization.
* Chair weekly planning and scheduling meetings.
* Track, control, and report on plan vs. actual performance accurately.
* Comply with all current IOPS cGxP standards (e.g., Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Documentation Practices).
* Maintain inspection readiness at all times.
* Create clear work plans to enable technician execution.
* Interact with the CMMS system to organize large data sets into executable work packages.
* Level load and resource plan work fronts.
* Identify schedule issues and constraints, proposing mitigations.
* Summarize detailed schedules tailored to specific audiences.
* Establish KPIs and routinely track and report them.
* Engage with cross-functional groups for schedule development and forward planning.
* Chair schedule workshops and conduct scenario planning.
* Liaise with manufacturing and maintenance scheduling colleagues to coordinate handover dates and access windows.
Must Have Qualifications:
* BS/BA in engineering or a scientific-related field, or relevant trade qualification, with 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
* Relevant experience may substitute for educational requirements.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Project.
* Knowledge and experience with Oracle Primavera.
