We have an opportunity for an IT Project Manager to join our expanding team on a contract basis for 12 months.As a key part of the transformation strategy, the IT Project Manager will support our IT Management team and Head of IT to shape and capture requirements to enable delivery of our strategic IT transformation roadmap, reporting to the IT Planning and Governance manager. You will complement the IT function and engage with Business Owners and Allianz Technology. Allianz Ireland’s IT services are provided and managed by Allianz Technology.In this role, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalising projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members; engaging with Allianz Technology and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan. The IT Project Manager will also define the project's objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.This is a hybrid working role, with a minimum of one day per week working from Allianz’s office in Elmpark, Dublin 4.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the IT projects lifecycle – from ideation, business requirement, solution assessment, vendor appraisal, procurement, design, build, test, commission and operateDeliver and manage large scale transformation programmes and projects on time, cost and quality targets within appropriate governance frameworksLead Project Teams: guide and coordinate project teams, assigning tasks and fostering collaboration to achieve project objectives efficientlyIT Economics: manage Project Submissions, Cost Benefit Analysis (CBAs) and project budgets, ensuring expenditures align with financial constraints and project goals. Manage project delivery against schedule, budget, and qualityIdentify and Mitigate Risks: recognise potential risks and devise strategies to minimise their impact on project successStakeholder Communication & Engagement: maintain effective communication with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress, challenges, and changes. Create strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders across the Business, Product Management, Risk Management, IT Security, Compliance and Allianz TechnologyIT Project Governance: ensuring timely status reporting to all stakeholders and IT PMOResolve Issues: Address and resolve issues and obstacles that arise during the project lifecycle, making informed decisions to maintain project momentumEssential – Key Requirements / Skills & ExperienceA relevant 3rd level qualification, with 5+ years level experience in Project ManagementProject Management qualification preferred e.g., Prince, PMPExperience in delivery of large-scale IT strategic and transformation projects using Agile methodologySolid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologiesStrong knowledge of IT lifecycle, including familiarity with concepts, practices and proceduresStrong Microsoft Office skills, including O365 Teams and SharepointExperience of dealing with key stakeholders and suppliersExperience operating within an outsourcing modelExcellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to interpret the audience and communicate accordinglyAbility to collaborate and work effectively with cross functional teams, including business teams and outsourcing partnersStrong organisational, analytical and problem solving skills; including attention to detail and multi-tasking skillsDesirableA broad experience across a variety of architecture domains (application, data, integration, or infrastructure)Experience preparing and presenting to senior business and IT management teamsExperience in Insurance / Financial services or other heavily regulated environmentsAt Allianz Ireland, we are committed to staying at the forefront of technological advancements.
