Governance & Compliance Manager
. Reporting to the Head of Governance, Risk & Compliance, this role will be central to delivering best practice governance and compliance across multiple entities. It includes company secretarial responsibilities, policy framework management, and oversight of compliance with state and legislative requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide company secretarial services for subsidiaries and support board/committee governance.
* Manage policy frameworks and ensure timely policy reviews.
* Act as Freedom of Information decision maker, ensuring compliance with legal timelines.
* Coordinate responses to parliamentary and stakeholder reporting requirements.
* Oversee compliance with governance codes, legislation, and internal policies.
* Drive process improvements, automation, and use of BI tools.
* Lead and mentor across governance, risk, and audit teams.
Skills & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in business, finance, governance, accounting or related field (required).
* 10+ years' experience, including at least 4 years in a governance role within a commercial or semi-state body.
* Strong knowledge of governance and compliance standards; knowledge of company law desirable.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving and strategic thinking skills.
* Effective communicator with strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
* Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a demanding environment.
* High proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
* Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.
