Counsel, International Employment Law Location: IE Cork, Munster, IE, T12 H682 Windsor, GB, SL4 1RS Requisition ID: ****** Job Summary We are seeking an accomplished global employment law attorney with at least 8 years of experience in employment law, including substantial global international in-house counsel exposure within the technology sector.
The ideal candidate will have a proven record of advising multinational organizations on complex employment matters, ensuring compliance across multiple jurisdictions (Europe and Asia preferred), and supporting fast-paced business operations with strategic legal guidance.
Key Responsibilities Provide practical legal counseling on global employment law matters, including hiring, termination, workplace policies, investigations, leaves of absence, wage and hour, contingent labor, and commissions.
Draft/review employment contracts, separation agreements, confidentiality agreements, and other employment-related documents.
Advise on employment elements of insourcing, outsourcing and HR vendor contracts.
Partner with HR, business leaders, and other stakeholders to develop and implement employment-related strategies, policies, and programs at the regional and global level.
Manage and resolve complex employment disputes, including litigation, arbitration, and government agency investigations.
Monitor and interpret emerging legal trends and regulatory changes affecting the technology industry and global workforce.
Support mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions by assessing employment law risks and conducting due diligence.
Collaborate with external counsel and oversee legal budgets and resources as necessary.
Qualifications Minimum of 8 years of professional legal experience focused on employment law, with demonstrable in-house counsel experience in the technology industry.
Deep understanding of global employment law frameworks and cross-border compliance issues.
Experience providing legal support to multinational corporations and working with diverse teams across different countries.
Excellent issue spotting, analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Strong business acumen and problem-solving abilities.
Familiarity with legal issues related to remote workforces, data privacy, and intellectual property as they pertain to employment law.
Experience working with international legal teams across all time zones.
Proven leadership and mentoring skills.
