Job Description:
We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking full-time Dairy Farm Worker to join our team on a busy large dairy farm located in the Ardcrony area. The successful candidate will be involved in the day-to-day running of the farm, with a strong focus on animal welfare, cleanliness, and efficient milk production.
Key Responsibilities:
* Milking cows (AM & PM milking shifts)
* Feeding and general care of livestock
* Calf rearing and youngstock management
* Cleaning and maintenance of milking parlour and housing facilities
* Monitoring animal health and reporting issues
* General farm duties, including fencing, machinery operation, slurry spreading, power washing and other general farm work
* Adhering to health and safety regulations and best practices
Requirements:
* Previous experience on a dairy farm is essential
* Good animal handling skills
* Strong work ethic and reliability
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Flexibility with working hours, especially during busy seasons (e.g. calving)
* Own transport due to rural location
* Experience operating machinery independently
