Job Summary:
We are seeking a professionally qualified
Management Accountant
to join our clients manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in cost accounting, budgeting and financial analysis within a manufacturing environment. You will play a key role in supporting management decision-making by providing accurate and timely financial information, cost control insights, and operational reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and analyze
monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts
for the plant, highlighting variances and trends.
* Develop and maintain
costing models
for products, processes and projects, including standard costing and variance analysis.
* Monitor and control
plant operating costs
, identifying areas for efficiency improvements and cost reduction.
* Prepare and manage
budgets, forecasts and financial plans
, liaising closely with production, procurement, and supply chain teams.
* Provide
financial insights and recommendations
to support strategic decision-making and operational improvements.
* Conduct
profitability analysis
by product line, department, and customer segment.
* Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and accounting standards (e.g., IFRS or GAAP).
* Assist in the preparation of financial reports for senior management and stakeholders.
* Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits and tax reviews.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CPA).
* Proven experience as a Management Accountant in a
manufacturing environment
(typically 3–5 years or more).
* Strong understanding of
cost accounting, inventory valuation, and manufacturing processes
.
* Advanced proficiency in
ERP systems
(e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and Excel.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
