Role Summary
We are seeking a Speech and Language Therapist to join our Paediatric Primary Care Team in Laois/Offaly.
* This is an opportunity for a Speech and Language Therapist to work with children who have a range of communication needs, assessing and intervening where necessary.
* The successful candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with families, schools, and other stakeholders.
* The ideal candidate will have CORU registration, a recognised qualification in Speech & Language Therapy, and significant post-qualification experience in paediatrics within primary care or a similar setting.
Main Responsibilities
Key responsibilities of this role include:
1. Assessment and intervention for children with communication disorders.
2. Collaborative work with families, schools, and other stakeholders.
3. Participation in team meetings and service development initiatives.
4. Maintenance of accurate clinical records in line with professional standards.
5. For the Senior Speech & Language Therapist: specialist assessment and intervention for complex paediatric cases, clinical supervision of junior staff and students, and active involvement in quality improvement projects and service planning.
