Electrical Field Engineer
This position plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production facilities. As an Electrical Field Engineer, you will be responsible for supervising and performing preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, modification, installation, and commissioning of electrical equipment.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of electrical distribution systems, equipment protection, and controls. They should also possess excellent technical skills, with the ability to read electrical control drawings and communicate complex technical information effectively.
High voltage and large motor experience is preferred, as well as previous experience as an Electrical Field Engineer in an industrial gases operating environment. Additionally, the ability to communicate in English, both spoken and written, is essential.
As a flexible and self-motivated individual, you will be required to respond to operational requirements on a 24/7 basis. This may involve working at short notice to resolve electrical breakdowns or carry out routine maintenance tasks.
Your role will involve working closely with Plant Managers and their staff to provide technical support and advice on maintenance matters. You will also be responsible for reviewing and updating the technical content of preventive maintenance procedures to ensure they remain effective and up-to-date.
The successful candidate will have a formal electrical apprenticeship and a tertiary vocational qualification to at least HNC level. They should also have post-apprenticeship experience in electrical distribution, equipment protection, and controls.
