Financial Accounts Professional
We are seeking a skilled Financial Accounts Professional to join our team on a minimum 3-month temporary contract with the possibility of permanency.
This role is ideal for an experienced accounts professional who can take charge and support our busy finance function during a period of increased activity.
Location:
Little Island, Cork.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Record all financial transactions accurately and maintain up-to-date ledgers.
2. Process weekly/monthly payroll, including timely PAYE/PRSI submissions.
3. Manage supplier invoices, payment runs, and customer invoicing.
4. Complete monthly reconciliations for bank, supplier, and customer accounts.
5. Assist in preparing monthly management accounts.
6. Maintain documentation for external audits.
7. Ensure compliance with all relevant tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
8. Prepare and submit VAT returns and other Revenue filings.
9. Manage petty cash and reconcile company credit card statements.
10. Liaise with external accountants and auditors.
11. Support stock control reconciliations (useful in production or retail environments).
Requirements:
1. Minimum of 3 years experience in an accounts role.
2. At least 1 year working in an Irish accounts environment.
3. Experience with Xero (accounting software) and BrightPay (payroll) is a distinct advantage.
4. Strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and ability to work independently.
