Description
To manage the effective operation and development with P&L accountability for the Enva Packaging business based in Greenogue, Co. Dublin.
Reporting to the Managing Director, this role requires initiative, drive and team management to ensure that the business unit grows and develops, business processes are designed effectively and are fit for purpose, and that appropriate communications structures and KPI’s are set up and maintained.
Key Responsibilities
Operations
* Team management and development - build and maintain a high-performance team, ensuring that the team are engaged and performing to the highest standard.
* Operational management of projects and live customer accounts.
* Continual process improvement and SOP updating as required.
* Analysis and improvements to ensure optimum efficiency in operations e.g. cost per job analysis, office & admin – ensuring each business area is utilised to its full potential.
* Lead and incorporate good HSE practice in line with legal and company requirements.
* Submit monthly/ weekly and ad hoc reports.
* Ensure “projects” are progressed on a continuous basis, with clearly defined deliverables including Capex plan.
* Drive process improvements through identification of problem areas/opportunities and collaborate with Process Managers and external vendors using structured project management techniques.
* Drive value creation within the Packaging business by maximizing intake/throughput on a monthly basis, managing all operational costs and constantly working to enhance the quality of all production output to maximise the product value together with the quantity and range of potential offtake partners.
Sales and Business Development
* Working closely with the specific sales team members to ensure that interfaces and handovers operate smoothly between sales and operations.
* Co-ordination of strategy and direction for the business units and liaison with the sales team to ensure alignment of sales effort.
* Lead the use and maximisation of the CRM system by all relevant personnel under your remit
* Proactively resolve any issues and work closely and proactively manage customer relationships
* Provide the necessary support to the sales team (or as required) to ensure that any significant tenders or quotations are completed in a professional manner on a timely basis
Financial
* Build close working relationship with finance team for all financial control and budgeting procedures (e.g. monthly accounts, debt collection, invoice sign-off)
* Ensure full understanding of each business area profitability and efficiencies and work closely with finance function to monitor this.
* Manage the drafting of weekly forecast P&L reviews, operations and sales reporting from across the Packaging business, annual budgets, evaluating proposed capital expenditure; managing and controlling budgets appropriately together with weekly/monthly/annual business performance.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* A bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, business administration, management, finance, or equivalent.
* 5+ years in a similar management role with a technical mindset.
* Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
* Financial Management: Understanding financial statements, budgeting, and making data-driven decisions.
* Leadership: Motivating and guiding teams, fostering a positive work environment, and making strategic decisions.
* Problem-Solving: Identifying challenges, analyzing situations, and developing effective solutions.
* Interpersonal Skills: Building relationships, collaborating with others, and resolving conflicts.
