Job Title: Project Manager - Construction Site
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the construction process, ensuring compliance with health and safety protocols, and maintaining high standards of environmental management. They will manage plant equipment, inspecting it as required, review third-party RAMS/SSOW, and produce methodology sequencing to guarantee alignment.
Main Responsibilities:
* Familiarising with project design documentation, programme, and construction methodologies
* Assigning personnel, managing activities, and coordinating tasks
* Reviewing all third-party RAMS / SSOW and producing methodology sequencing to ensure alignment
* Demonstrating a proactive approach to developing a positive safety culture on site
* Identifying and preventing unsafe behaviours, defects, and hazards
* Providing daily briefings to supervisors, employees, and contractors
* Reporting programme progress, identifying risks, and opportunities for project completion
* Issuing a 3-week lookahead to the client and their representatives on a weekly basis
* Maintaining quality logs for subcontractors and resolving defects in a timely manner
* Conducting site H&S inspections/audits as required
* Ensuring all personnel have received a site-specific induction and that competencies are checked and recorded
* Managing subcontractor performance and escalating issues to the project manager
* Optimising workflows to reduce project duration
* Demonstrating commercial awareness and assisting in dispute resolution
