Sous Chef – Stunning Hotel in Clane
Are you an experienced Sous Chef with a passion for creating exceptional dishes and leading a talented kitchen team?
We are currently looking for a skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join an exciting and fast-paced hotel-based kitchen in Clane, Co.
Kildare.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and wants to contribute to the success of a busy hotel with an emphasis on high-quality food and excellent service.
About the Role:
As Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, menu development, and ensuring that all food served meets the hotel's high standards.
You will have the opportunity to work with fresh, locally-sourced ingredients, helping to create a diverse and innovative menu that caters to both hotel guests and events.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen staff and ensuring the smooth running of daily kitchen operations
Lead by example, ensuring all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards
Oversee food preparation for a variety of dining experiences, from hotel guests to corporate events and private functions
Help develop seasonal and rotating menus, incorporating local produce and innovative dishes
Ensure strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations
Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering, and manage kitchen waste
Support the Head Chef in training, motivating, and developing kitchen team members
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar senior kitchen role
Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and motivate a team
Excellent culinary skills, with an eye for presentation and quality
A proactive attitude, capable of managing kitchen operations under pressure
Experience in a hotel or large-scale catering environment is highly desirable
Strong knowledge of food safety and health and safety regulations
A passion for using fresh, locally-sourced ingredients
Flexibility and willingness to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends
