About Your New Job
We are seeking a skilled Contract Manager with 10+ years of experience managing construction projects within a main contractor environment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of projects, working closely with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure project success.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and oversee all aspects of construction projects from start to finish, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required standards.
* Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring that all milestones and deadlines are met.
* Lead and motivate a project team, including subcontractors, suppliers, and internal staff.
* Liaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and alignment throughout the project.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
* Prepare and manage project budgets, monitor costs, and control expenditure to prevent overruns.
* Provide regular progress updates to clients and senior management, identifying and addressing any potential risks or issues.
* Negotiate contracts and manage procurement processes, including sourcing and managing subcontractors.
* Review and approve project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
* Oversee site inspections and ensure that the project is progressing as planned.
Qualifications
* A minimum of 10 years’ experience as a Contract Manager within a main contractor environment.
* Proven experience in managing large-scale, complex construction projects across various sectors.
* Strong knowledge of construction processes, project scheduling, cost management, and risk mitigation.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring quality and efficiency.
* Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and site management best practices.
* Relevant qualifications in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
* Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore) is desirable.
