A Brief Overview
The Financial Accountant, EMEA a key member of the Financial & Regulatory Reporting team, is responsible for general accounting processes for several businesses across EMEA and supports the financial and regulatory reporting team in preparing and checking financial and regulatory reports.
What You Will Do
* Play a key role in the day-to-day general accounting processes for fixed assets, bank, and general expenses including payroll etc. as well as intercompany and tax settlements.
* Support the regulatory reporting team in rolling forward, preparing and checking financial and regulatory reports and deliverables.
* Work with the relevant teams to ensure a smooth and controlled month/quarter end process.
* Contribute to the streamlining of accounting processes to achieve appropriate, efficient, effective and consistent accounting and reporting practices and procedures.
* Support Financial Planning & Analysis with any insights and queries.
* Respond to any internal or external queries on assigned work.
* Play an important role in initiatives for the EMEA Finance team as required.
Qualifications And Experience
* Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent, preferred
* Professional accountancy qualification e.g. ACCA/ACA required
* 3+ years auditing (or combined accounting and auditing) experience preferred
* Experience with financial services preferred
* Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft applications
* PeopleSoft or other accounting software applications experience preferred
