SENIOR OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST (4-day hybrid role) Location: Balbriggan, Co.

Role Summary As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will lead and provide evidence-based OT services across assessment, intervention, and multidisciplinary teamwork.
The role includes both hands-on clinical delivery and administrative or reporting tasks done remotely, offering a hybrid working style.
You will report to the Clinical Lead and will have a key role in shaping clinical practice, mentoring colleagues, and contributing to service development.
Key Responsibilities Carry out full occupational therapy assessments and plan & implement interventions tailored to individual needs.
Administer, score and interpret ADOS (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule) and ADI-R (Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised) assessments.
Work closely with the wider multidisciplinary team (speech & language, physiotherapy, psychology, nursing, social work, etc.) to coordinate holistic care.
Prepare clear, professional clinical reports, recommendations and care plans to inform decisions.
Mentor, supervise or support junior OTs or therapy assistants.
Participate in audits, quality improvement, and service development activities.
Maintain accurate documentation, ensure compliance with professional/regulatory standards (e.g. CORU), and undertake continuing professional development.
Manage workload and priorities effectively, balancing on-site clinical demand with remote administrative/reporting work.
Candidate Requirements Approved qualification in Occupational Therapy.
Registration with CORU (or equivalent).
Solid experience in clinical OT practice, particularly with neurodevelopmental assessments.
Proven experience administering and interpreting ADOS and ADI-R.
Strong report-writing and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time/workload.
Experience or ability to mentor junior staff.
Flexible approach to hybrid working (clinical + admin); reliable internet/home setup beneficial.
Full clean driving licence and access to transport (if required for travel between clients/sites).
